Ryan Beales Obituary, Death – Classmates and neighbors in Severna Park are mourning Ryan Beales, a 14-year-old Severna Park High School freshman who died after a crash while riding an e-moto Wednesday evening in Anne Arundel County.
Flowers and stuffed animals have begun gathering along the trail near the crash site, a growing memorial to a teenager whose death has deeply affected the community.
The crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Robinson Road and the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail, according to the information provided.
Harrison Sudano, a nearby resident who went to the scene, described seeing people who were upset and crying. He said the e-moto and a vehicle were in the road.
Images obtained by WJZ Investigates showed minor damage to the lower driver’s-side door of a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The pickup’s driver, a 49-year-old Millersville man, was not injured and cooperated with police, according to the report. The circumstances of the collision remain subject to the authorities’ investigation.
Sudano said the crash highlighted how quickly a collision can happen, leaving little time for either a driver or a rider to react. He expressed condolences to Beales’ family and said he hoped the tragedy would prompt the community to consider how to improve safety.
For Ryan’s classmates, friends and neighbors, the loss is personal and painful. The memorial near the trail offers a place for people to leave flowers and other tributes as they grieve.
As the community remembers the teenager, it is important to give his family privacy and avoid speculation about the crash while investigators work to establish what happened.
